I have read and researched numerous books of genealogy that distant Amish / Amish-Mennonite cousins have written, this blog is simply a compilation of many other people’s hard work.

Internet research has made this process considerably easier than in the past, yet too easy. Some ‘connections’ that websites espouse as ancestral lineages are wrong, or have the first and second wives mistaken, therefore children are wrongly assigned to different family lines. In some cases, women who died at an early age with few children are simply forgotten and their children assigned to the step-mother. (i.e. Viola P. Raetz, Leo Ulrich’s grandmother is rarely listed on genealogy websites).

I look forward to any comments that would correct errors in this research, or to amplify any of my research.

The more comments and interaction from cousins, distant and close, will make this a communal body of research.
